Peter Farnbank started his practice in 1987, specialising in the radical treatment of primary causes underlying phobias, anxiety and psychological trauma. With a background in teaching, he has treated various children's problems. He has also treated bereavement and relationship problems.However, Peter's specialism has been in treating adult survivors/victims of prolonged childhood abuse, whether emotional, psychological, physical and/or sexual.
Peter was a founding director of the Hypnotherapy Association.
A Chartered Psychologist, Peter is also:
- an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society (BPS)
- a Fellow of the Hypnotherapy Society (HS)
- a Member of the British Society of Clinical and Academic Hypnosis (BSCAH), amalgamated society of formerly The British Society of Experimental and Clinical Hypnosis (BSECH) and The British Society of Medical and Dental Hypnosis (BSMDH)
In the British Psychological Society, Peter is a Member of the Division of Educational and Child Psychology, the Special Group for Coaching Psychology and Psychotherapy Section.
Peter is a statutorily registered practitioner with the Health Professions Council (HPC).
