Stefan has over 10 years experience as a psychotherapist. He first became interested in dealing with individuals problems some years before as a Human Resources Manager with a major Building Society, in particular in addressing the problem of sick leave due to stress. This gave him an invaluable insight into the causes of stress and the impact on both the company and the individual. He subsequently studied the subject in depth and was awarded Fellowships with the Association of Stress Management in July 1998, and the Society of Stress Managers in March 1999.
Stefan has a strong belief that different problems require different approaches and, for this reason also studied NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) Hypnosis and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprogramming). He became a full member of the Hypnotherapy Association in June 2001.
He has given over 200 talks and lectures on the subject of Stress and Hypnotherapy and has had articles published in several journals, including clinical hypnotherapists own journal The Hypnotherapist He has also appeared on television programmes, including Thursday Night Live for Central TV.
Stefan offers a free Initial Consultation (up to one hour) to fully explain how and why certain methods are used to deal with certain problems, and in particular to explain what hypnosis is (and what it isnt!). He will also show prospective clients feedback forms from literally hundreds of previous clients who have been to stop smoking, deal with stress, cure phobias, lose weight, gain confidence, etc. etc. He believes strongly that this is an important part of the process and enables prospective clients to decide in their own time, with absolute confidentiality and with no pressure, whether this is right for them.
