Sylvia lectured in psychology and child development for 16 years before deciding to put theory into practise. She has a degree in psychology and then trained with the Institute of Family Therapy and the College of Advanced Hypnotherapy, acquiring qualifications with both. Since then she has been developing a wide range of approaches that explore aspects of emotional and spiritual intelligence and development as well as carrying out individual work. Her other direction has been in writing several books and articles for magazines such as Positive Health Magazine, The Hypnotherapist and Best Times.

Sylvia and David are now setting up a residential workshop centre on the Isle of Wight which specialises in emotional and spiritual intelligence and meditation retreats. These are also suitable for use by practitioners as part of their own continuing professional development and will be certified accordingly for attendance.
